When people ask me how I can be so quiet in the wine cellar, I always answer the same. "Why, what could ever go wrong?". I know that making wine is not a walk in the park, wine has been in my life for so long that I cannot imagine living without it. But I also know that it is a sensitive matter. If you feel tension, you make tension. And for this Loris Vino Bianco, for the first time fully my own wine, everything had to go smoothly. That's right. I followed this wine throughout its journey, with wine tastings and some laughter with the cantinieri. They had to stop me, because I would have let it out (maybe) too soon. But it has something, this wine, something to say, something to be talked about. It needs the company of a happy table of people, because it's a bit like me. It wants to take life with one smile after another. You have to have it in your glass to understand: then you cabn let me know!
Loris, Wine Maker Giordano
It is of a delicate colour, a pale straw yellow with seductive golden transparencies. It tempts the nose with summer fruit scents: I like to linger on the glass to catch the notes of the yellow flesh of peach and the hint of pineapple. On the palate, it has feeling of fullness, provided by the strong structure of the body. It has a decisive feel, but at the same time is very pleasant; it culminates at the end when swallowed, characterized by a very fresh acidity.
A modern wine studied at length by the master winemakers at Giordano to satisfy the most discerning tasters. It is obtained with the best white grapes, grown in the most suitable areas. The vinification involves immediate separation of the skins from the must, followed by fermentation at very low controlled temperature, to preserve its freshness and aroma. The name, Eventus emphasises the unique and rare characteristics of this wine.
Golden, straw yellow with greenish hints, and an elegant, floral bouquet with notes of exotic fruits and green apple. A stupendously pure bouquet. This is one of the most fragrant, fruity wines made at Giordano. A soft, balanced flavour with hints of yellow apple, pear and grapefruit.
Elegant white with a good body, created from a mix of different “cuvees” assembled in the Giordano Wineries. The name comes from the sun’s rays that are particularly intense in the Mediterranean areas in which its grapes are grown.
Golden colour with bright, lively reflections; an outstanding bouquet, with a fresh floral fragrance that is intense and fruity, with hints of apple, and a body with great density and an appealingly harmonious softness.
A classic dry white from the delightful area of Soave in the province of Verona. It is made exclusively from Garganega grapes.
Straw yellow in colour tending at times to appear slightly greenish. The Garganea grapes in this Soave create a floral nose with hints of apple and lavender. This is a well-balanced and harmonious wine with just the right amount of acidity.
A white wine with unusual characteristics and ancient tradition, Grillo Sicilia DOC is fragrant and full-bodied. It is particularly important in the production of Marsala, Grillo is vinified by the homonymous grape, a heritage of Sicilian wine making.
It’s colour is intense straw yellow with golden glint. The floral scents (above all jasmine and white flowers) meet intense exotic suggestions, returning a bouquet as rich as it is evocative. By tasting reveals a delicate acidity and it is expertly balanced by the careful interventions of expert oenologists. Balanced and harmonious taste, very fresh. This wine is suitable for aging process, able to amaze also after long time.
