Wine, for me is also the silence of the winery: for this Winemaker's Choice Rosso there were moments when only the echo of the steps filled the space between the barrels, my breath was the only soundtrack to the maturing of my wine. It takes passion. When you love what you do, it comes naturally. Sometimes it takes your breath away, it makes you experience emotions with an overwhelming intensity. I personally chose the vines for this blend, inspired by the sensations of a torrid summer inside and outside the wine cellar. I followed step by step, one wine tasting after another. When I realized that it was ready to bottled, I felt a strange feeling of jealousy, as if faced with a painful but necessary detachment. At that moment, while I was tasting the wine in the dim light, I understood that it was ready. Wine is emotion. Mine? Mine is a passion to be shared.

Like a mirror from a fairy tale, the red of the chromatic texture has purple veins and reflects the light, creating changeable and fascinating patterns. The red fruits, raspberry and marasca, emerge through a full and expressive smell: the vanilla, distant and suggestive, peeps through. On the palate it is harmonious and full-bodied, a velvety with a distinguished aftertaste. You can catch clear traces of chocolate and vanilla.
Vinification
Grapes and vines are my everyday life. I see sprouting plants, budding flowers, growing fruit, maturing and reaching the perfect moment for the harvest. At harvest time, I watch over the whole process: mine is a conductor's job, every aspect is an instrument which must play the right notes to produce the perfect harmony. Each variety has its own voice: if in the denominations certain tones are crystallized, a blend allows you to add your own, shaping a wine that has an unusual, new character. For the Andrea Vino Rosso, I chose the tools that I thought best suited to orchestrate the taste I had in mind. After the careful selection of the grapes, after fermentation, after the first time in the tank, I made the vines talk in the way I thought best, giving this red a pinch of my personality. The refinement did the rest, in the comfortable setting of the Giordano wineries. And there, this wine matured, taking on a part of me during our silent dialogues.
Tips
The search for something new is the basis of constant personal growth. We talked a lot about the Winemaker’s Choice line. We were asked to come out of the shadows, not only to put faces to those who, behind the scenes, make Giordano wines, but also to offer a personal interpretation of the wine according to each of us. This Red wants to be my business card, it is a wine which conquers me. I hope I can break through to your heart, just as it has broken through into mine.
"Giulia" Vino Rosso d'Italia
A red wine with an intense and brilliant colour, which anticipates a bouquet rich in nuances, from red fruits to notes of vanilla. On the palate, it is soft and persuasive, a caress for the palate. Because of these characteristics, it is well suited to dishes with strong and intriguing flavours, such as those of Mexican cuisine.
Intense and complex red. On the nose there are scents of small red fruits and spicy notes, vanilla in primis. Persuasive and pleasant in the mouth, thanks to a good softness and non-aggressive tannins.

A fresh, delicate white, straw yellow in colour with a light golden tinge. An elegant, floral aroma is detected by the nose, while a distinct minerality captivates the palate. For an evening of seafood, it is the ideal companion, especially if crudités or exotic sushi are on the menu.

Loris Vino Bianco
When people ask me how I can be so quiet in the wine cellar, I always answer the same. "Why, what could ever go wrong?". I know that making wine is not a walk in the park, wine has been in my life for so long that I cannot imagine living without it. But I also know that it is a sensitive matter. If you feel tension, you make tension. And for this Loris Vino Bianco, for the first time fully my own wine, everything had to go smoothly. That's right. I followed this wine throughout its journey, with wine tastings and some laughter with the cantinieri. They had to stop me, because I would have let it out (maybe) too soon. But it has something, this wine, something to say, something to be talked about. It needs the company of a happy table of people, because it's a bit like me. It wants to take life with one smile after another. You have to have it in your glass to understand: then you cabn let me know!
Loris, Wine Maker Giordano
It is of a delicate colour, a pale straw yellow with seductive golden transparencies. It tempts the nose with summer fruit scents: I like to linger on the glass to catch the notes of the yellow flesh of peach and the hint of pineapple. On the palate, it has feeling of fullness, provided by the strong structure of the body. It has a decisive feel, but at the same time is very pleasant; it culminates at the end when swallowed, characterized by a very fresh acidity.
Vinification
When the harvest begins, I like to chat with the people in the vineyard and in the wine cellars. Every day they have a new story to tell, about a certain thing happened here or there, about whether the weather is not as it should be, or if the earth is too dry or too wet, about a fabulous dinner the evening (or month) before. I think that all these words exchanged between vines and winery, in the end, give a little extra to the wine. There is a lot of effort, of course, September seems to have a hundred days: but it is a worthwhile effort, a fatigue that bears fruit. The last harvest was strange, due to the weather. Yet I have seen grapes of rare concentration, of a simply explosive potential. When they asked me to think about this white, I imagined the story which a grape like that could tell. A blend is like Christmas morning for someone like me: everything you have always dreamed of, under the tree, ready to be opened. I chose and balanced harmonies and traces, I tried to find the balance point of a wine that spoke my language, that had the contagious smile which shows through on evenings with friends. One thing is certain: in the wine glass, there is no shyness!
Tips
I'll tell you something that I do not think I've ever told anyone outside the gang. In my company, when you go out (and when you leave) we have a habit. You take a ballpoint pen and write down the best part of your night out on a piece of paper. A wine, a dinner, a song, it doesn’t matter what: someone should take the initiative to rank the things that they liked and those they didn’t like. When I presented the Loris Vino Bianco to the gang, the gang said the pasta was average. Which, in all modesty, I am a true master of pasta cooking! Among the reasons why, I found out why the next morning, one note was: "Why? Because this white is like Loris, one which will always be the centre of attention, and it deserves all the thanks and praise it can get". If you manage to make your evening a little bit more special, then I'll know you have done a good job!

A sign of the times, sweet and bitter at the same time, defines my Andrea Black Label Red Wine. It is the echo of his dreams that fills the Cellar, between the brick vaults and the sinuous curves of the barrels. The whistling breath of air that accompanies each visit to evaluate its consistency and evolution, low currents that together trace a whirling waltz of expectation. The Andrea Black Label Red Wine offers a dark and dense colour, impenetrable to the eye. Marc shadows appear in the glass and rapidly slip away. The nose gives traces of wood, making specific reference to its period of rest.
There are faint echoes of spirit soaked fruit and sensations of chocolate and tobacco.
