Mundus Vini 2015
Important new awards for our winery

MUNDUS VINI 2015

Our winery was again awarded two new prestigious medals at Mundus Vini 2015, an international competition held in Germany. Since the year of its debut, in 2001, this is one of the most renowned wine competitions in the world.

There were more than 4,200 wines from over 40 countries. For our winery, it is particularly significant to gain these recognitions at this kind of competition, as Germany is the company's second largest market after Italy.

The goal of the competition is to promote the quality of the wines and the wineries and thanks to this competition, these wines now have the opportunity to compete in the international market

We are very proud to have received the following awards:

  • Primitivo di Manduria Alberobello DOC 2012 - Gold Medal
  • Tuscany Toscana Rosso 2011 - Silver Medal

We have named  this Primitivo di Manduria “Alberello 50” - says Giuseppe Spagnolo our Torricella  winemaker- because it is obtained from very old Primitivo bush vines trained according to the “ad alberello” (gobelet) system. The quality of this particular wine is that it came from a single vineyard which is 50 years old and the vines produce just 50 tons per hectares: a great concentration of of flavours and aromas.
