"Luminante" Susumaniello Puglia IGT

A grand indigenous Apulian grape variety, rediscovered and revalued in recent years, has given birth to this complex and detailed red. Cultivated mainly in the Salento area, Susumaniello owes its name to its abundant productivity, which literally made it possible to "load the donkey".
The colour is ruby red, with distinct violet highlights. On the nose it reveals hints of small red fruits, raspberry and blackberry, while on the palate it begins with notes of plum and blackcurrant. The finish is balanced and pleasantly persistent.
Food Matches Ideal with first courses and meat dishes. It is at its best with a hearty selection of mature cheeses.
