It is made from carefully perfectly ripe grapes that have been manually harvested in selected vineyards in three villages within a few miles of the medieval hamlet of Barbaresco. This fine wine is then skilfully crafted to enhance the particular aromas and flavours that this special land brings out. The colour is a garnet red with brick overtones, the aroma is intense and reminiscent of wild rose hip, liquorice, and mature cherries The flavour is dry, austere and yet fine with a persistent note of sweet spices on the finish.
