Oak aged red wine
Barolo has a long and royal history and is justly known as 'King of wines and wine of Kings'.
Piedmont
The famous Barolo region covers 1,300 hectares
and is situated throughout 11 communes of the
Langhe region.
This elegant and aristocratic wine is matured for 2 to 3 years in Slovenian oak casks and then refined in the bottle for a further two or three years. This full and elegant wine has a bouquet of great finesse and complexity. Deep red with ruby highlights, it has a clear-cut, intense nose with overtones of vanilla, spices, dried rose petals and herbs. The palate is dry but soft, velvety and well balanced, and is engagingly complex throughout its lengthy finish.
It is a most worthy companion to roasted or stewed meats, game and mature cheeses.
